GMP Loop Valve:can be utilized to eliminate dead legs in the design of point of use outlets in atypical WFI/DM piping distribution loop. As the process fluid flows through the valve body, as demand warrants,the valve isopened providing an uncontaminated sample which may accumulate in outlets greater than 3D. The outlet can also be utilised as a steam condensate drain or as a divert port. The valve has been modified to accept a third port of the same diameter or smaller, positioned adjacent to the bottom of the valve. Typically the GMP valve is oriented in the vertical position. For horizontal process applications, the sterile access valve (T type) is recommended.

Sanitary pressure relief valve: is spring loaded self setting /self actuating design that is preset and actuated directly by up stream static line pressure. SPLIT BUTTERFLY VALVES

The Split Butterfly Valves are designed a to minimize atmospheric contamination during transfers of powders. High containment can be achieved during powder charging, discharging, and sampling . This applies particularly to dust free charging and discharging of laboratory, pilot scale and production process.

Construction and Working:The Split Butterfly Valvesconsists of two separate halves : a driving half (Active) and a driven half (Passive). The System is such that any passive will fit into any Active (non-pressure rated or pressure rated ) of the same size.Within the Active and passive assemblies are two halves of the butterfly type disc.The two halves (Active and Passive) mate together along their axis of rotation.

Sealing between the discs is achieved via a metal-to-metal seal at the outside edge of the discs. The disc and shaft design of each half is a solid one-piece component, eliminating crevices and increasing strength when coupled.

The coupling process is achieved by inserting the Passive into the Active unit. This can only be successfully carried out in one orientation, as there are four, non equi-spaced pegs about the circumference of the Passive, which locate within slots in the Active body. When the Passive is correctly sitting in the Active, a sprung pin is depressed by one of the Passive pegs, this allows the locking ring to be rotated into the operating position. The locking ring is machined with four cam angles, which force the Passive further down into the active body. This enables the seats on the Passive & Active to come together to form a seal. The disc sealing element is elastomeric which precisely locates into the body and is not bonded, enabling easy removal, cleaning, and replacement

Both Active and Passive units are fitted with mechanical safety interlocks, which in normal operation prevent either Active or Passive from being opened when the two halves are not coupled together. Both manual wrench or actuation designs are offered.

Pumps are monobloc design and manufactured from SS 304 /SS 316 bar stock/sheet metal. All product contact parts(casing, impeller) are in stainless steel, duly electropolished and free from uncleanable pockets

Pumps are fitted with mechanical seals externally mounted. Pumps can be dismantled and assembled in minutes without tools. Pumps can be cleaned and steam sterilised. Drain ports or sampling valves are provided on request.

The stainless-steel cartridge housings are designed for final ultra- filtration of liquids or gases through cartridge filters. The housings are designed to ASME code standards, All welds are ground flush, and polished to a high-quality sanitary finish.

The housings have a removable cartridge manifold to allow for complete disassembly of the downstream side, and ease of cleaning of all fluid contact surfaces. The housings are in-line steam-sterilisable These housings can accept any cartridge element in various configurations of DOE, code '7', BSP male thread, or tie rod .

Inlet/outlet are in varying sizes of 1/2" to 4" in TC end or DIN or SMS connections, If industrial uses are earmarked then flanged connection of ASA 150/BS 10 - table can also be fitted. Threaded connection in NPT and BSP can be supplied on request. Vent valve at the light point for purging is provided along with a Tee connection for a pressure gauge. A drain valve at the bottom of the housing is provided

SANITARY VENT FILTERS: Vent Filter is designed for the sterile air venting of containers and tanks. The housing are made from AISI 316 Stainless Steel, the surfaces are highly polished. Slits in the upper part of the top ensure complete drying out of the system after sterilization ( avoids problems with entrapped moisture ). The housing base has a bayonet-type hold on the upper side and a connector with female threaded nut on the underside
THE CONICAL FILTER: separates visible particles from liquids/gases.SS 316/304 quality conical filter comprises of two conical bodies, coupled with tri clamp. The filter element is a stainless steel mesh (100 # to 500 #) supported on a perforated plate and inserted in rubber seat and both being sandwiched for proper seating. This prevents cross contamination. Pendents housing can be dismantled easily by disconnecting utility piping and removed by opening of the clamp giving easy access to the internals.

Turbojet Tank Cleaning Nozzle, full automatic powered by the cleaning fluid. This tank cleaning system is designed for large volumetric tanks in the pharma, food, distilleries, beverage, dairies, chemicals and other process industries.

It is a fully automatic, high impact, cleaning system and achieves fast and quality cleaning results in tanks, reactors and other process equipment. The heart of the turbojet Cleaner is an internal hydraulic motor, powered by the cleaning fluid, which makes the nozzles perform a geared rotation around the horizontal and vertical axis automatically.The first cycle sees a coarse pattern on tank surface.

Density of spray is gradually increased as a full spray pattern is laid in the final cycle. The number of cycles required for proper cleaning usually depends on the cleaning distance, cleaning procedure and cleaning agent.

For easily mobilised substances one cycle would be sufficient. The speed of the turbine is directly proportional to the flow rate of the machine. The higher flow rate will result in high speed rotation. To control the RPM of the machine the flow rate is controlled through nozzles of various orifice.

HOSE DOWN WASH UNIT

IEWI Hose Down Unit ( Mixing Battery ) provides instantaneous hot water economically by mixing steam and ambient water to the required temperature through a simple turn of a knob. The mixing battery is supplied with isolation valves, check valves, union joints, strainers and thermometer to know the temperature of the emerging hot water.

Mixing battery provides industry with cheap hot water wherever steam is available, along with water. It incorporates a hydraulic fail safe device, so that when correctly installed and maintained, no steam regardless of its pressure can enter the mixing chamber until the water flows to raise the steam valve of its seat.

When turned off at the outlet, there is an immediate and positive shut-off.When the outlet controls are opened and cold water flows into the mixing valve, the differential pressure across the piston causes it to raise, thereby compressing the fixed loaded spring and raising the steam valve of its seat. The steam thus released, is surrounded by the cold water in the defusing chamber, which on mixing provides instantaneous hot water at the outlet.When the outlet control is turned-off, there is then static water pressure which allows a larger internal stainless steel spring, to close the steam valve back onto its seat.

This shuts off the steam completely so there is no steam present in the mixing chamber under any flow conditions .Mixing battery is available in various configurations viz. two services or three services or four services depending upon the customer requirement. Services can be potable water, steam, compressed air and dm water. Hose Down Stations are offered as mobile trolley mounted units or as wall-mounted units.

When turned off at the outlet, there is an immediate and positive shut-off.When the outlet controls are opened and cold water flows into the mixing valve, the differential pressure across the piston causes it to raise, thereby compressing the fixed loaded spring and raising the steam valve of its seat. The steam thus released, is surrounded by the cold water in the defusing chamber, which on mixing provides instantaneous hot water at the outlet.When the outlet control is turned-off, there is then static water pressure which allows a larger internal stainless steel spring, to close the steam valve back onto its seat.

This shuts off the steam completely so there is no steam present in the mixing chamber under any flow conditions .Mixing battery is available in various configurations viz. two services or three services or four services depending upon the customer requirement. Services can be potable water, steam, compressed air and dm water. Hose Down Stations are offered as mobile trolley mounted units or as wall-mounted units.

STERILIZATION IN PLACE (SIP) SYSTEMS

Pharmaceutical Sterilization-in-Place (SIP) systems are designed to sterilize a collection of process equipment after a batch of product is completed. Equipment such as bioreactors, fermentors and the accompanying tubing must be cleaned and/or sterilized before a new production cycle .

The steam pressures seen are typically in the 20-30 psi range with corresponding temperatures ranging from 121ºC to 135ºC. The relationship between pressure and temperature is a given, however sterilization times will range depending on the temperature and the nature of the item being sterilized. In general, the lower the temperature, the longer it takes to sterilize. The sterilization time/temperature relationship in a typical SIP process will occur at about 121ºC for 30-40 minutes. For systems with hard to reach components, times can increase.

Steam quality is also an important consideration. Typically, a dedicated clean-steam generator is used to provide the necessary volume, temperature and pressure of steam needed to sterilize each system. To ensure that each component and all areas of the piping reach the sterilization temperature for the requisite time, temperature sensors are placed in critical areas as well as in hard-to-reach locations to ensure that complete sterilization occurs. During this entire process, modulating valves are utilized to maintain the required clean steam pressure, temperature and flow levels.

During the SIP process, condensate is generated from steam which must be quickly removed. Proper placement of clean steam traps will ensure timely and adequate removal of the condensate, which, in turn, will help to maintain the high temperatures needed for the sterilization cycle.

Besides the critical function of the clean steam generator, three components in particular are crucial to maintaining adequate wet temperature in SIP networks: sanitary control valves, sanitary pressure regulators and sanitary steam traps.

GLASS FLASK WASHING STATION

This machine is used for cleaning and sanitizing the external and internal surfaces of glass flasks. The flasks to be washed are manually loaded horizontally onto the machine frame. It is then tilted to a vertically inverted position The outer door is then closed to prevent water from spraying outside.

CIP liquid is then pumped into the flask for cleaning internal & external surfaces. Internal cleaning is done with the help of nozzles and the external cleaning is done with the V jet nozzles. The drain water is then drained through a drain port in the machine.

As an optional feature a steam sterilization can be done for validating the flask after CIP is carried out. After the CIP cycles are over the nozzle is lowered the outer door is opened and the flask is then titled to a horizontal position and removed.

The door ofthe IBC wash station which is in the non-sterile area, is then opened andthe IBC is guided into the wash roomafter which is the door closes. IEWI offer FBD Bag wash station keeping the application of the client in mind as also the constraints that are normally existing at the site in the wash area.

The wash cycles follow the recipe set in the PLC normally would consist of wash cycles which can be decided by the user depending either on the size of the fbd bag and the SOP of the wash cycle to be followed. Typical wash cycle includes potable water rinse, hot water rinse, detergent wash,hot air drying etc.

The recipe management of the PLC allows the user the flexibility of even selecting the sequence of wash cycles and time required to complete each wash.

The FBD bags are first loaded onto a specially designed machine. The the FBD bags along with the hanger are locked into place on the inside of the washing container. Once the fbd bags hanger is properly located in the machine, the PLC starts the washing cycle through preset receipe. Internal cleaning is achieved through cleaning lances located inside the bags.

External cleaning of the finger bag is done with the help of strategically positioned flat V-jet nozzles.

Removal and recovery of valuable product, from process pipe lines as well as expediting cleaning is an extremely important process. The most effective way to accomplish these tasks is with Industrial Equipwash Inc. Product Recovery System. When viscous products (creams, pastes, ointments) are pumped through tubing in a process system, a certain amount of product will be left behind. Residual will either dilute or leave large deposits attached to the inside wall of the tubing.

While water and air are often used to remove this residual, these methods only work to a certain degree. The IEWI Product Recovery System works on a simple, yet extremely effective, principle. Our product recovery system consists of a launcher, a catcher and a pig (one-piece, solid molded urethane projectile).

Prior to start-up, the pig is placed in the launcher located in the pipeline and just down stream from the pump. Once the run is completed, air pressure is applied to the pig to push it through the main pipeline, forcing the remaining product to a recovery point at the end of the pipeline. Extracts a liquid sample from reactors and vessels via a dip pipe. Sample is representative, fixed volume and cannot overflow the sample bottle. Large valve ports and minimal dead space prevent plugging. All wetted parts are made from corrosion resistant materials.

Operation:

Vacuum is applied and sample is drawn through the stand pipe which overflows and fills the sample chamber. Nitrogen is applied and excess sample in the sample chamber is drained off. The fixed volume of sample in the stand pipe is transferred to the sample bottle.
